The other day , I was going through stuff ; cleaning up and throwing things away , when I came across this image . It was like unearthing , something from Pompeii , for me . It's a terrible photograph , shot at the end of a roll of color film but one of my favorite pieces of graffiti art , ever . As another new summer approaches ; I look back over the past few decades and during these reminiscences : I came across this old photograph of me from the 1950's . It is from a summer , when I was sent off to Illinois to visit my country , Grandmother , for awhile . She was a real storybook , sort of Grandma ; she kept chickens , an old dalmation , hunting dog , and she had a little garden , too .
